Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Teddy Roosevelt Fair 4 Competition and Public Trust Act of 2023’’. 5 SEC. 2. APPLICATION OF ANTITRUST LAWS TO PROFES- 3 SIONAL BASEBALL. 4 The antitrust laws shall apply to the business of pro- 5 viding for profit public baseball games between teams of 6 professional baseball players and to leagues composed of 7 teams of professional baseball players. 8 SEC. 4. DEFINITION. 9 For purposes of this Act, the term ‘‘antitrust laws’’ 10 has the meaning given it in subsection (a) of the first sec- 11 tion of the Clayton Act (15 U.S.C. 12(a)), except that 12 such term includes section 5 of the Federal Trade Com- 13 mission Act (15 U.S.C. 45) to the extent that such section 14 5 relates to unfair methods of competition. 15 SEC. 5.
