To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize
grants for first responder training.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Safer Response Act
4
of 2023’’.

SEC. 2. FIRST RESPONDER TRAINING.

Section 546(h) of the Public Health Service Act (42
7
U.S.C. 290ee–1(h)) is amending by striking ‘‘$36,000,000
8
for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023’’ and inserting
