the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee
on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry
A BILL
To amend the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008
to provide funding for the Gus Schumacher Nutrition
Incentive Program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Opt for Health with
4
SNAP, Close the Fruit and Vegetable Gap Act of 2023’’
5
or the ‘‘OH SNAP, Close the Fruit and Vegetable Gap
6
Act of 2023’’.

Section 4405 of the Food, Conservation, and Energy
3
Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 7517) is amended—
4
(1) in subsection (a)—
5
(A) in the subsection heading, by striking
6
‘‘IN GENERAL’’ and inserting ‘‘DEFINITIONS’’;
7
and
8
(B) by redesignating paragraphs (3), (4),
9
and (5) as paragraphs (5), (3), and (4), respec-
10
tively, and reordering accordingly;
11
(2) in subsection (b)(1)(C), by striking ‘‘50’’
12
and inserting ‘‘100’’; and
13
(3) in subsection (f)—
14
(A) in paragraph (1), by inserting ‘‘and
15
$100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024
16
through 2028’’ after ‘‘2023’’; and
17
(B) in paragraph (2)—
18
(i) by redesignating the second sub-
19
paragraph (C) (relating to fiscal year
20
2019) through subparagraph (G) as sub-
21
paragraphs (D) through (H), respectively;
22
(ii) in subparagraph (G) (as so redes-
23
ignated), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end;
24
(iii) in subparagraph (H) (as so redes-
25
ignated), by striking ‘‘2023 and each fiscal
