LETLOW) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Com-
mittee on Agriculture
A BILL
To amend the Food Security Act of 1985 to increase funding
for the conservation stewardship program, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. ANNUAL FUNDING.

Section 1241(a)(3)(B) of the Food Security Act of
4
1985 (16 U.S.C. 3841(a)(3)(B)) is amended to read as
5
follows:
6
‘‘(B) for the conservation stewardship pro-
7
gram under subchapter B of that chapter,

SEC. 2. TRANSFER OF FUNDS.

$5,020,000,000 of the unobligated balances of
4
amount appropriated or otherwise made available under
5
section 21001 of Public Law 117–169 (commonly referred
6
to ask the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022) is hereby
7
transferred to the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out,
8
using the facilities and authorities of the Commodity Cred-
9
it Corporation, the conservation stewardship program
10
under subchapter B of chapter 4 of subtitle D of title XII
11
of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3839aa–21
12
et seq.).
