SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Motor Carrier Safety 4 Screening Modernization Act’’. 5 SEC. 2. SAFETY PERFORMANCE HISTORY SCREENING. 6 Section 31150 of title 49, United States Code, is 7 amended— 8 (1) in subsection (a) by inserting ‘‘and employ- 9 ment’’ after ‘‘preemployment’’; 10 (2) in subsection (b)— 11 (A) in paragraph (2) by inserting ‘‘operator 12 or’’ before ‘‘operator-applicant’s’’; and 13 (B) by inserting ‘‘operator or’’ before ‘‘oper- 14 ator-applicant’’ each place it appears; and 15 (3) in subsection (c)— 16 (A) by inserting ‘‘or employment’’ after 17 ‘‘preemployment’’ each place it appears; and 18 (B) by inserting ‘‘operator or’’ before ‘‘oper- 19 ator-applicant’’. 20 SEC. 3.
