Mr. OGLES (for himself, Mr. BIGGS, Mr. PERRY, and Mr. DONALDS) intro-
duced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Finan-
cial Services
A BILL
To impose a hiring freeze and other limitations on the Bu-
reau of Consumer Financial Protection, and other pur-
poses.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Mandating the Aboli-
4
tion of a Threat to Consumer Happiness Act’’ or the
5
‘‘MATCH Act’’.
6
SEC. 2. HIRING FREEZE AND OTHER LIMITATIONS.

On or after the date of the enactment of this Act—

(1) no individual may be appointed to any posi-
1
tion within the Bureau of Consumer Financial Pro-
2
tection;
3
(2) no new position may be established at the
4
Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection;
5
(3) no officer or employee of the Bureau of
6
Consumer Financial Protection effective on the date
7
of the enactment of this Act may be assigned any
8
duties not assigned to that employee on that date;
9
and
10
(4) no officer or employee of the Bureau of
11
Consumer Financial Protection may be transferred
12
to a duty station other than the duty station appli-
13
cable to such officer or employee effective the date
14
of enactment of this Act.
