          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 527          WHEREAS, Wayne R. Maynard of Dallas is being recognized   with the Governor's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 41st annual   Governor's Volunteer Awards on April 23, 2025; and          WHEREAS, Each year, the Governor's Volunteer Awards honor   the exemplary service of individuals, groups, and organizations   that have made significant contributions to Texas communities;   the awards are presented by the governor of Texas and   administered by OneStar; and          WHEREAS, Wayne Maynard has served for more than two decades   as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight South Central; after flying   his brother-in-law to cancer treatment, he was inspired to lend   his skill and expertise to the organization; the Tulsa,   Oklahoma-based nonprofit transports people in rural areas to and   from urban medical centers for dialysis, chemotherapy, and other   procedures; and          WHEREAS, Since 2004, Mr. Maynard has completed more than   300 missions at his own cost; as Northeast Texas wing leader and   later as chair of the AFSC board, he expanded pilot recruitment,   revamped bylaws, and established a pilot recognition program; he   has secured more than $1 million in donations for the   organization through such initiatives as the annual Mission   Possible: Soaring Hearts Gala and fundraising solo flights to the   North Pole; and          WHEREAS, Wayne Maynard has set an inspiring example   through his long record of service to a lifesaving organization,   and he is richly deserving of this prestigious accolade; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th   Legislature, hereby congratulate Wayne R.
