          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 81          WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to   recognize Nexus Family Recovery Center Day at the State Capitol   on February 11, 2025; and          WHEREAS, Established in 1971, the Nexus Family Recovery   Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women   achieve long-term recovery from substance use disorder through   comprehensive services, including treatment programs designed to   restore health and encourage resilience; and          WHEREAS, The center expanded its initiatives to serve   pregnant women and mothers with children in order to fill a gap in   available treatment opportunities and to encourage family unity   during the recovery process; by providing child care, education,   and therapy programs for children, Nexus fosters healing and   stability in the worthwhile mission of breaking   multi-generational cycles of substance use disorder; and          WHEREAS, Nexus Family Recovery Center works to reduce   stigma, increase awareness of addiction as a treatable disease,   and advocate policies that expand access to quality care;   prevention initiatives and partnerships with schools, health   care providers, and social service agencies serve a crucial role   in addressing the broad challenges of reducing substance use   disorder in Texas; and          WHEREAS, Recognizing Nexus Family Recovery Center Day at   the Capitol honors the dedication of the center's staff,   volunteers, and supporters, as well as the thousands of   individuals who have experienced recovery and healing through   its programs, and their exemplary efforts continue to transform   lives and to inspire positive change in the Lone Star State; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th   Legislature, hereby recognize February 11, 2025, as Nexus Family   Recovery Center Day at the Capitol and extend best wishes for   continued success to all involved with the organization; and, be   it further          RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the   organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.     West                 ________________________________          President of the Senate               I hereby certify that the     above Resolution was adopted by     the Senate on February 11, 2025.                 ________________________________          Secretary of the Senate                 ________________________________           Member, Texas Senate
