A BILL
To amend the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act
of 2002 to increase funding for the purchase of specialty
crops, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ββFresh Fruits and
4
Vegetables Nutrition Act of 2023ββ.

SEC. 2. FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.

(a) PURCHASE
OF
SPECIALTY
CROPS.βSection

tion 14222(b)(2) of the Food, Conservation, and Energy

Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 612cβ6(b)(2)) is amended by strik-

ing subparagraph (A) and inserting the following:

ββ(A)(i) in the case of fiscal year 2024,

ββ(ii) in the case of fiscal year 2025,
