  89R3461 MZM-F     By: Johnson S.B. No. 1292       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the authority of an appellate court to issue temporary   orders in connection with an interlocutory appeal.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 51.014, Civil Practice and Remedies   Code, is amended by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows:           (i)     Notwithstanding a stay of trial court proceedings under   this section, an appellate court may enlist the assistance of a   trial court in hearing evidence, making findings of fact, and   making recommendations relating to the appellate court's authority   to issue temporary orders necessary to preserve a party's rights   until disposition of an appeal.            SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
