      H.R. No. 1500       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their   memories of the Reverend Henry Lee Pendergrass of Midland, who   passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 67; and          WHEREAS, The son of Robert and Mary Pendergrass, Henry   Pendergrass was born in Pittsburg on August 18, 1956, and he grew up   with the companionship of three siblings, Keith, Virginia, and   Peter; he learned the value of hard work at a young age by helping   out on his family's ranch, and after attending Austin College, he   completed his master of divinity degree at Virginia Theological   Seminary; a gifted preacher and teacher, he began his ministry in   Dallas as a curate at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and an interim   priest at Holy Cross Episcopal Church; and          WHEREAS, Reverend Pendergrass went on to serve at the Bishop   Mason Retreat Center in Flower Mound, where he planted Saint   Nicholas Episcopal Church in 1998; in 2006, he transferred to the   Anglican Church and planted Church of the Resurrection in Flower   Mound; seven years later, he answered the call to serve Christ   Church Anglican in Midland; and          WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Reverend Pendergrass enjoyed   the love and support of his wife, Colleen; the couple married in   1995, and they were blessed with two daughters, Abigail and   Elizabeth; and          WHEREAS, Although Henry Pendergrass is deeply missed, the   passage of time will never diminish the joy and inspiration that he   brought into the lives of all who knew him; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of the Reverend Henry   Lee Pendergrass and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his   family: to his wife, Colleen Pendergrass; to his daughters, Abigail   Lebron and her husband, Jhaivony, and Elizabeth Pendergrass; to his   siblings, Keith Pendergrass and his wife, Juli, Virginia Lannen,   and Peter Pendergrass and his wife, Desiree; and to his other   relatives and many friends; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of   Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Henry   Pendergrass.     Bucy     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
