      H.R. No. 1484       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Hrishi Marakani has distinguished herself in her   responsibilities as a Texas Legislative Internship Program fellow   in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchía during the 89th   Legislative Session; and          WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Marakani has provided   vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;   among other essential functions, she has supported the   representative's work in a number of committees, served as a lead   policy analyst for several legislative initiatives addressing such   critical topics as criminal justice, housing, and education, and   acted as an assistant clerk for the Telecommunications and   Broadband Subcommittee; in addition to gaining valuable experience   in the field of public service, she has learned more about the   legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star   State; and          WHEREAS, Ms. Marakani is a student at The University of Texas   at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government   and economics as a member of the Liberal Arts Honors Program; deeply   involved in her campus community, she serves as codirector and   event operations specialist for the student government's   Disabilities Inclusion Agency, and she is also sergeant at arms and   recruitment chair for the Texas Infinites spirit group; she has   previously worked as a risk and emergency management intern for   Harris County Precinct 2 and as a research assistant for the UT   College of Liberal Arts; and          WHEREAS, Hrishi Marakani has performed her duties as a TLIP   fellow with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of   special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Hrishi Marakani for her service as a   Texas Legislative Internship Program fellow in the office of State   Representative Rafael Anchía and extend to her sincere best wishes   for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Marakani as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Anchía     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
