      H.R. No. 1458       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Dirk Aaron is concluding his service as general   manager of the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District   in Bell County on August 31, 2025, drawing to a close an outstanding   tenure that has spanned nearly a decade and a half; and          WHEREAS, Since joining Clearwater in June 2011, Mr. Aaron has   worked to further CUWCD's mission to develop, conserve, protect,   and effectively utilize the water resources of the county; under   his guidance, the district has seen critical advances in   groundwater modeling and monitoring, transitioned to cloud-based   data systems, and modernized its website; moreover, he has overseen   improvements to the district's permitting processes and management   zones, as well as the establishment of several key collaborative   partnerships; and          WHEREAS, A leader in his profession, Mr. Aaron has served as   president of the Texas Alliance of Groundwater Districts, and he   has also chaired the organization's legislative committee; he   represents Clearwater on Groundwater Management Area 8 of the Texas   Water Development Board and on the Brazos G Regional Water Planning   Group, and he is an elected member of the Texas Water Association   Board of Directors; and          WHEREAS, Mr. Aaron holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M   University and a master's degree from Texas Tech University; over   the course of his career, he has served the State of Texas in the   agricultural production and applied research sectors as well,   having previously worked as an extension agent for the Texas   AgriLife Extension Service for more than three decades; and          WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Aaron more time to spend   with his family, which includes his wife of 43 years, Cindy, their   children, Colton and Cameron, and their five grandchildren; the   couple are active members of Tapestry Community Church of Belton;   and          WHEREAS, Dirk Aaron's exceptional knowledge, leadership, and   professionalism have greatly benefited the Clearwater Underground   Water Conservation District and the Texans it has served, and his   achievements will be remembered and admired for many years to come;   now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Dirk Aaron on his retirement as   general manager of the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation   District and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,   be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mr. Aaron as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Buckley     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
