HR1429 - Congratulating Gay Donnell Willis on her reelection to the Dallas City Council.

      H.R. No. 1429       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Gay Donnell Willis was reelected as the District 13   representative on the Dallas City Council on May 3, 2025; and          WHEREAS, Since first taking office in 2021, Ms. Willis has   joined with other members of the city council to address urgent   issues facing the community, and her work has had a lasting   influence on the daily lives of her fellow citizens; and          WHEREAS, The effective operation of municipal government   depends on the able and dedicated efforts of our public servants,   and Gay Donnell Willis may indeed take pride in her outstanding   record of achievement as she continues to work on behalf of her   constituents; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Gay Donnell Willis on her   reelection to the Dallas City Council and extend to her sincere best   wishes for another successful term in office; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Willis as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Jones of Dallas     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
