      H.R. No. 1347       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Carter Bentsen of Houston has distinguished himself   in his responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State   Representative Alma Allen during the 89th Legislative Session; and          WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Bentsen has provided   vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,   such as analyzing bills, attending committee hearings, and meeting   with constituents, lobbyists, and advocacy groups; in addition to   gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has   learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing   citizens of the Lone Star State; and          WHEREAS, Mr. Bentsen is a graduate of Strake Jesuit College   Preparatory in Houston and The University of Texas at Austin, where   he earned a bachelor's degree in government; a talented athlete, he   played varsity rugby and football in high school and served as a   starting player as well as vice president, president, and team   captain of the UT Men's Rugby Club; and          WHEREAS, Carter Bentsen has performed his duties as a   legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed   deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Carter Bentsen for his service as a   legislative aide in the office of State Representative Alma Allen   and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all   his endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mr. Bentsen as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Allen     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
