      H.R. No. 1341       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The members of the Judson Early College Academy   Class of 2025 made history as they participated in the JECA 2025   College Signing Day Celebration on May 1, 2025; and          WHEREAS, The College Signing Day Celebration is an annual   event that allows seniors the opportunity to sign a letter of intent   to their "best fit" school and to make public the number of   acceptances and scholarship awards that they received; all   together, the 86 members of the Class of 2025 amassed a total of   nearly 800 scholarship offers and more than 1,100 college and   university acceptances; and          WHEREAS, In addition, the Class of 2025 is the first   graduating class since the academy's founding in 2009 in which all   86 seniors earned an associate's degree with distinguished honors   from Northeast Lakeview College; the students celebrated their   graduation from Northeast Lakeview College on May 15 at the Freeman   Coliseum, and their JECA graduation is taking place on May 27 at New   Creation Christian Fellowship; and          WHEREAS, Over the past four years, the JECA Class of 2025   scholars persevered through an academically rigorous curriculum   despite various setbacks, such as administrative changes and the   COVID-19 pandemic; the students distinguished themselves outside   of the classroom as well, logging countless hours of community   service, working part-time jobs, and participating in a wide   variety of summer programs, internships, and extracurricular and   intramural activities; along the way, the students have benefited   from the able guidance and support of Class of 2025 sponsor and   college/career readiness instructor Monique Broadnax, principal   Angelica Guzman, superintendent Milton Fields, and the other   members of the academy's dedicated faculty and staff; and          WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await these   outstanding young Texans, and they may reflect with pride on their   achievements as they embark on a future bright with promise; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Judson Early   College Academy Class of 2025 on their achievements and extend to   them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the class as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Gervin-Hawkins     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
