      H.R. No. 1325       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Rishi Tirumalasetty of Katy has distinguished   himself through his exceptional performance at the Texas State   Finals of the National Civics Bee on May 17, 2025; and          WHEREAS, The National Civics Bee operates under the umbrella   of The Civic Trust, which was founded by the U.S. Chamber of   Commerce Foundation as an educational initiative dedicated to   enhancing civic literacy, skills, and participation; the annual   competition is open to middle school students from across the   country, who are tested on their knowledge of American history,   government, and civic participation through written essays,   multiple-choice questions, and oral responses to various prompts;   and          WHEREAS, A seventh-grade student at Katy Junior High School,   Mr. Tirumalasetty qualified for the Texas State Finals after   placing second at the Katy Area Civics Bee; he subsequently   advanced to the Texas State Finals, where his first-place finish   has earned him the opportunity to represent the state at the   National Civics Bee Championship in November; and          WHEREAS, Rishi Tirumalasetty has demonstrated exceptional   ability and determination in the pursuit of his goals, and he is a   source of great pride for his family and his school; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Rishi Tirumalasetty on winning   first place at the 2025 Texas State Finals of the National Civics   Bee and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success;   and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mr. Tirumalasetty as an expression of high regard by   the Texas House of Representatives.     Schofield     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
