HR1311 - Honoring Dr. Tiffany L. Anthony on the occasion of Medical City Dallas Advocacy Day.

      H.R. No. 1311       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Medical City Dallas Advocacy Day is taking place on   May 23, 2025, providing a fitting opportunity to recognize   Dr. Tiffany L. Anthony for her trailblazing work as a multiorgan   transplant surgeon; and          WHEREAS, The surgical director of liver transplantation at   Medical City Dallas, Dr. Tiffany Anthony specializes in liver,   kidney, and kidney-pancreas transplantation; her team at the   facility's liver transplant center includes physicians, surgeons,   pharmacists, nurses, and other hospital staff who are highly   trained in treating patients with liver disease, and these experts   work alongside professionals in a variety of fields to develop   treatment plans and ensure the utmost quality of care at every stage   of the transplant process; and          WHEREAS, Dr. Anthony began her career as a transplant surgeon   at The Transplant Institute at Methodist Dallas, and she went on to   serve as director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant and Robotic   Kidney Donor Program at the Simmons Transplant Institute at Baylor   University Medical Center; she has also held the position of   medical director of the Southwest Transplant Alliance, and she   currently leads the Texas Transplantation Society as president;   moreover, she has devoted her time and efforts to such worthy   programs as Taylor's Gift Foundation, which provides emotional and   grief support to organ donor families; and          WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas Health Science   Center at San Antonio, Dr. Anthony completed her research   fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine and her   transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Chicago; and          WHEREAS, Dr. Tiffany Anthony has earned widespread   admiration for her exceptional skill, professionalism, and   dedication, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for her   invaluable contributions to the medical field; now, therefore, be   it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby honor Dr. Tiffany L. Anthony on the occasion of   Medical City Dallas Advocacy Day and extend to her sincere best   wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it   further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Dr. Anthony as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Rodríguez Ramos     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
