HR1305 - Commending Linaizel Lara of Garland for her service as a legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro Tem Joe Moody.

      H.R. No. 1305       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Linaizel Lara of Garland has distinguished herself   in her responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of   Speaker Pro Tem Joe Moody during the 89th Legislative Session; and          WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as part of the Jane Nelson   Institute for Women's Leadership Scholarship Program at Texas   Woman's University, Ms. Lara has provided vital assistance in   handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as managing   correspondence, attending legislative briefings, and maintaining   efficient office operations; in addition to gaining valuable   experience in the field of public service, she has learned more   about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the   Lone Star State; and          WHEREAS, Ms. Lara graduated from South Garland High School   with an associate's degree from Dallas College Eastfield in 2023,   and she went on to earn a bachelor's degree in psychology with a   minor in political science from TWU in May 2025; a McNair Scholar at   the university, she completed an undergraduate research project   that focused on the relationship between mothers' and daughters'   career pursuits and aspirations; she has also developed her   leadership skills by attending such notable events as the 2024   Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Annual   Conference; and          WHEREAS, Linaizel Lara has performed her duties as a   legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed   deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Linaizel Lara for her service as a   legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro Tem Joe Moody and   extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her   endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Lara as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Moody     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
