      H.R. No. 1252       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Dr. Guadalupe Zamora concluded his service on the   Central Health Board of Managers on December 31, 2024, following a   distinguished tenure that spanned 12 years; and          WHEREAS, Appointed by the Travis County Commissioners Court   in January 2013, Dr. Zamora brought to his role many years of   experience as a practicing physician and educator; he has treated   patients at his East Austin family medicine clinic as well as at   Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin and St. David's Medical   Center, where he has chaired the family practice department; in   addition, he has served as an adjunct clinical professor for The   University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston John Sealy School   of Medicine and School of Nursing, the UT Austin School of Nursing,   and the Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of   North Texas; and          WHEREAS, Dr. Zamora oversaw the Travis County Central Health   Board of Managers as chair from 2018 to 2019; he has further   benefited the community in many other leadership roles, including   president of the Travis County Medical Society; moreover, he was   involved in the advisory board for the Medical Access Program prior   to the creation of Central Health; a tireless advocate for quality   health care for all, regardless of income, he served as treasurer of   Healthy ATX, an organization that played an instrumental role in   the establishment of the UT Austin Dell Medical School; and          WHEREAS, A 1985 graduate of UTMB, Dr. Zamora completed his   family practice residency at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus   Christi; he served as chief resident of the department before   receiving his board certification in 1988; and          WHEREAS, Dr. Zamora has greatly benefited residents of Austin   and Travis County through his outstanding endeavors in behalf of   regional health care institutions, and he may indeed reflect with   pride on his contributions; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby honor Dr. Guadalupe Zamora for his service on   the Central Health Board of Managers and extend to him sincere best   wishes for the future; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Dr. Zamora as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Flores     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
