      H.R. No. 1140       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Amy Skicki has distinguished herself throughout her   four-year tenure with the Bay Area Houston Transportation   Partnership; and          WHEREAS, Now in its 35th year of operation, BayTran works to   enhance regional mobility in the Bay Area Houston region by   supporting transportation and infrastructure projects and   advocating for priorities identified by the Houston-Galveston Area   Council; the partnership encompasses more than 30 communities in   Harris, Brazoria, and Galveston Counties and is composed of over   100 member entities; and          WHEREAS, A respected leader with more than three decades of   experience in various fields, Ms. Skicki joined BayTran in 2021 as   its executive director; she became the partnership's president and   CEO two years later, and she has since provided critical strategic   direction, engaged key stakeholders, and organized such important   events as the annual infrastructure summit; moreover, she led the   organization in completing a major rebranding effort that included   updates to its mission statement, core values, and logo; and          WHEREAS, Ms. Skicki has further served her community as a   board member of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and as   government affairs taskforce director for the Houston Regional   Veterans Chamber of Commerce; prior to joining BayTran, she held   the position of executive director of the Sun Prairie Chamber of   Commerce in Wisconsin; in addition, she served seven years in the   U.S. Army, where she was an automated logistical specialist and   attained the rank of sergeant; she holds an associate's degree in   web and digital media design and a bachelor's degree in business   management; and          WHEREAS, Over the course of her tenure with BayTran, Amy   Skicki has played a pivotal role in the development of   transportation solutions vital to the prosperity of Bay Area   Houston, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for her   outstanding efforts; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby honor Amy Skicki for her record of service to the   Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership and extend to her   sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Skicki as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Paul     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
