      H.R. No. 1117       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Laela Jade Ovalle has distinguished herself in her   responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State   Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra during the 89th Legislative   Session; and          WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as part of The University of   Texas Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Ovalle   has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of   challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in   the field of public service, she has learned more about the   legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star   State; and          WHEREAS, An active student in her campus community,   Ms. Ovalle is a member of the UTRGV Political Science Association   and the Rio Grande Valley College Democrats, and she has received   several recognitions on the dean's list; she also serves   prospective students as a call agent in the undergraduate   admissions office; and          WHEREAS, Laela Ovalle has performed her duties as a   legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed   deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Laela Jade Ovalle for her service as a   legislative intern in the office of State Representative   R. D. "Bobby" Guerra and extend to her sincere best wishes for   continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Ovalle as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Guerra     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
