HR1106 - Congratulating Abigail Melton of Barbers Hill High School on her receipt of a scholarship from the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce.

      H.R. No. 1106       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Abigail Melton of Barbers Hill High School in   Mont Belvieu has been named the recipient of a 2025 Mont Belvieu   Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship; and          WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce awards   scholarships to four graduating Barbers Hill High School seniors   each year; funded by the annual Barbers Hill Fall Fest, these $1,000   scholarships are granted to students who intend to earn a degree in   one of four fields: first responder, health care, teaching, or   counseling; and          WHEREAS, Ms. Melton plans to pursue a career in clinical   psychology, with the goal of providing meaningful support and   solutions to individuals in turmoil; an engaged citizen, she has   also given generously of her time and talents in behalf of her   community; and          WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this   outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing   her as she embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Abigail Melton on her receipt of a   scholarship from the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce and   extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her   endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Melton as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Leo Wilson     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
