      H.R. No. 1100       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The girls' track team from Randolph High School in   Universal City once again earned the mantle of state champion with   its remarkable performance at the 2025 University Interscholastic   League Track & Field State Meet; and          WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors at   Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 1, the Randolph athletes   delivered an exceptional showing; medaling in seven events, the   Ro-Hawks racked up a total score of 88 to outdistance the   second-place squad by 27 points and claim their fourth straight 3A   crown; and          WHEREAS, Senior Taylor Nunez paced Randolph, collecting four   titles en route to closing out her high school career as the most   decorated track and field athlete in UIL history with 16 total gold   medals; she set 3A meet records in two of her events, soaring 20   feet, 9.5 inches, in the long jump and breaking her own mark in the   100-meter dash with a blistering time of 11.22 seconds; moreover,   she sprinted to victory in the 200 meters in 22.76 seconds,   eclipsing the city record, and she joined Jaela Smith, Sophia   Bendet, and Grace Kistler on the winning 4x400-meter relay, running   the anchor leg for the quartet that crossed the finish line in a new   meet standard of 3 minutes, 47.72 seconds; and          WHEREAS, Ms. Bendet clinched two gold medals for Randolph and   established individual meet records along the way, winning the 800   meters in 2 minutes, 9.1 seconds, and the 1,600 meters in 4:54.68;   Aubrey Milam also raced to a first-place showing by clocking a 3A   record of 10:46.7 in the 3,200 meters, and she added a bronze medal   with her 1,600-meter time of 5:10.1; and          WHEREAS, By accomplishing the rare feat of securing four   consecutive state track championships, the Randolph Ro-Hawks have   distinguished themselves as a true powerhouse in the sport, and   they may indeed reflect with pride on a job well done; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate the Randolph High School girls'   track team on winning the 3A championship at the 2025 UIL Track &   Field State Meet and extend to the team's athletes and coaches   sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the Ro-Hawks as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Lujan     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
