      H.R. No. 1078       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Kelley Touchet was inducted into the Texas High   School Basketball Officials Association Hall of Honor on   April 26, 2025; and          WHEREAS, The THSBOA Hall of Honor pays tribute to high school   basketball referees in the state who have distinguished themselves   through their lengthy and notable service to the sport; and          WHEREAS, Mr. Touchet began officiating games at the junior   high level and has gone on to establish an outstanding refereeing   career that has spanned 27 years; in that time, he has worked   numerous regional and state tournament contests and all-star games,   and he has served as an official for the National Collegiate   Athletic Association for more than two decades; and          WHEREAS, Away from the game, Mr. Touchet was employed at   Kinder Morgan until retiring, and he remains active in various   community service capacities, including as a member of the East   Chambers Independent School District Board of Trustees; and          WHEREAS, For more than a quarter century, Kelley Touchet has   exemplified the highest standards of sports officiating, and he is   indeed deserving of this prestigious recognition; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Kelley Touchet on his induction   into the Texas High School Basketball Officials Association Hall of   Honor and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be   it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mr. Touchet as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Leo Wilson     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
