      H.R. No. 995       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has ably served his fellow Texans as a   legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo   Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and          WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Yates has provided   vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;   in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public   service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the   issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and          WHEREAS, Born and raised in Houston, Mr. Yates is a graduate   of Liberty University Online Academy; he is currently pursuing an   associate's degree at Lone Star College-Cyfair and plans to   eventually earn a bachelor's degree in economics and a law degree;   in addition to volunteering for the 2024 Donald Trump presidential   campaign, he has served as a delegate at the state Republican Party   convention and as an alternate delegate at the national GOP   convention; he has also worked with underserved communities as a   volunteer with Sports Quest; and          WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has performed his duties as a   legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed   deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Samuel Yates for his service as a   legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo   Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success   in all his endeavors; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mr. Yates as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Leo Wilson   Hull     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
