HR911 - In memory of Frankie Faye Stallard Cooper of Palacios.

      H.R. No. 911       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort   those saddened by the passing of Frankie Faye Stallard Cooper of   Palacios on March 13, 2025, at the age of 87; and          WHEREAS, The daughter of Frank Edward and Fannie Mae   Stallard, the former Frankie Stallard was born in Palacios on   June 4, 1937; she grew up with a twin, Fannie Raye, and two other   sisters, Lucille and Novella; after graduating from Palacios High   School, she married the love of her life, Clifford Paul Cooper, on   June 11, 1955; they settled in the Deutschburg community to raise   their two treasured sons, Stephen and Rodney; and          WHEREAS, Mrs. Cooper devoted herself to her home and family;   a wonderful cook and hostess, she was known for her dewberry   cobbler, sourdough bread, fig preserves, and pies, and she   comforted the sick by arriving with her famous chicken and   dumplings; she also liked creating new dishes; after her husband   suffered a cardiac event, she learned to prepare delicious   heart-healthy recipes, which she often shared with his doctor; and          WHEREAS, Sustained by her strong faith, Mrs. Cooper was a   valued member of the First Baptist Church of Palacios for more than   seven decades, and she taught Sunday school for toddlers for over 40   years and lent her time to numerous church committees; dedicated to   her community, she served as an election official for Jackson and   Matagorda Counties; she was also a 4-H leader and a member of the   Matagorda County Aggie Moms' Club, the Deutschburg Community Club,   and the Alapha Club; and          WHEREAS, Mrs. Cooper was an avid traveler, and her family   delighted in "Meemaw Moments," as they dubbed her effusive   reactions to the beauty of nature; she loved to play games with her   cherished family, which grew to include many grandchildren and   great-grandchildren; she and her husband enjoyed a deeply   fulfilling relationship until his death in 2013; and          WHEREAS, Although Frankie Cooper is sadly missed, the passage   of time will never diminish the warmth and kindness she brought into   the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Frankie Faye   Stallard Cooper and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her   family: to her sons, Steve Cooper and his wife, Kim, and Rodney   Cooper and his wife, Kathy; to her grandchildren, Ryan Howard,   Lindsay Hensley, Courtney Cooper, Alexis Turner, and Shelby Cooper;   to her great-grandchildren, Karys Howard, Drew Howard, Audrey   Hensley, Kinlea Cooper, Bellamy Hensley, Dylan Hensley, Vivian   Seals, Jasper Turner, and Marguerite Turner; to her sister, Fannie   Raye Ivy; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it   further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of   Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Frankie   Faye Stallard Cooper.     Louderback     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
