      H.R. No. 885       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Bailey Maedgen of Troy High School earned great   distinction by winning a state title at the 2025 Texas High School   Women's Powerlifting Association 3A Division 1 State Championship;   and          WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school lifters in Texas   at the state meet in Edinburg on March 13, Ms. Maedgen delivered an   exceptional performance in the 132-pound weight class; she hoisted   365 pounds in the squat, 220 pounds in the bench press, and 320   pounds in the dead lift, racking up 905 total pounds to clinch the   state crown; and          WHEREAS, A three-time state qualifier and a two-time regional   champion in powerlifting, Ms. Maedgen also competes in track at   Troy High, where she is a junior; an exceptional student, she takes   dual credit courses through Temple College, and she skillfully   balances her academic and athletic endeavors with her chores on her   family's cattle ranch; and          WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the   culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering   commitment to excellence, and Bailey Maedgen may indeed reflect   with pride on this outstanding accomplishment; now, therefore, be   it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Bailey Maedgen on winning the state   title in the 132-pound weight class at the 2025 THSWPA 3A Division 1   State Championship and extend to her sincere best wishes for   continued success; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Ms. Maedgen as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Buckley     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
