      H.R. No. 837       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Jacob Benner of Anahuac Middle School has been   invited to participate in the Middle School Honors Performance   Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City from June 24 to 28, 2025;   and          WHEREAS, An eighth-grade French horn player, Jacob was   nominated for the program by his band director, Morgan Contreras;   Jacob was subsequently invited to audition in October 2024, and   after submitting three pieces, he earned a spot in the elite group;   and          WHEREAS, Composed of talented middle school students from all   over the country, the ensemble will rehearse for three days,   culminating in a performance at Carnegie Hall; in addition, Jacob   and his family will use the opportunity to enjoy a trip to the Big   Apple; and          WHEREAS, This gifted young Texan has demonstrated   outstanding talent, work ethic, and dedication to his craft, and he   may indeed take great pride in this notable achievement; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Benner on his selection for   the Middle School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall and   extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it   further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Jacob as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Leo Wilson     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
