      H.R. No. 700       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The 100 Club of San Antonio is hosting its 52nd   annual Heroes Luncheon on May 21, 2025; and          WHEREAS, This special event offers sponsors and attendees the   opportunity to honor fallen first responders of the San Antonio   community; at this year's luncheon, higher education scholarships   will be presented to graduating high school seniors, including the   children of two brave police officers who lost their lives, Robert   "Bobby" Deckard Jr. and Joseph Anthony Cisneros Jr.; and          WHEREAS, Since 1973, the 100 Club of San Antonio has served   the families of fallen local, state, and federal first responders   as well as severely injured active-duty personnel and their   families in Bexar County; a citizen-based nonprofit unaffiliated   with any police, fire, or government agency, the association   provides financial assistance, safety training, counseling, and   mental health services; and          WHEREAS, The 100 Club works to deliver funds to the first   responder's family within 24 to 48 hours of their loved one's   unexpected death to help with immediate expenses; the organization   goes on to help the family and to place any dependent children into   The 100 Club Survivor Fund, where they receive monthly annuity   payments to assist with their education; and          WHEREAS, Texans owe an immense debt of gratitude to the first   responders who willingly place themselves in harm's way to protect   and serve the public, and the 100 Club of San Antonio is to be   commended for its efforts to support the families of these heroic   men and women; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commemorate the 52nd annual Heroes Luncheon of   the 100 Club of San Antonio and extend to all those associated with   the organization sincere appreciation for their worthy endeavors;   and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Lujan     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
