      H.R. No. 613       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Ellery A. Richard is being honored on June 8, 2025,   for his 21 years of dedicated service as the pastor of Second Shiloh   Missionary Baptist Church in Houston; and          WHEREAS, A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ellery Richard   attended Houston Baptist University, where he studied accounting   and theology; he began his career as an associate minister at Live   Oak Baptist Church; and          WHEREAS, In 2004, he took the helm of Second Shiloh   Missionary Baptist Church, and under his leadership, the church has   established a variety of commendable programs that encourage   fellowship and provide help to those in need; and          WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Pastor Richard enjoys the love   and support of his wife, Sheila, and he takes great pride in his two   sons, Tyrell and Evan, as well as in his three grandchildren, Evan,   Madison, and Kason; and          WHEREAS, This inspiring clergyman has led Second Shiloh   Missionary Baptist Church with conviction and compassion, and he   has earned the lasting respect and admiration of his congregants as   well as members of the greater community; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Pastor Ellery A. Richard on the   joyous occasion of his 21st anniversary with Second Shiloh   Missionary Baptist Church and extend to him sincere best wishes for   continued success with his important work; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Pastor Richard as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Simmons     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
