      H.R. No. 493       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association   are gathering at the State Capitol on March 13, 2025; and          WHEREAS, TNLA serves as the authoritative source on matters   pertaining to the Texas green industry, which promotes the   beautification, sustainability, and economic prosperity of the   state; the association represents a diverse membership of landscape   professionals, growers and wholesalers of nursery stock, retail   workers, irrigation experts, and suppliers; and          WHEREAS, According to a study conducted by Texas A&M   University, the Texas green industry generates an economic output   of $39 billion and supports more than 250,000 jobs; the industry   plays a vital role in the state's economy, and it benefits   immeasurably from TNLA's many contributions; and          WHEREAS, For more than eight decades, TNLA has equipped its   members with the tools and guidance needed to thrive in an   ever-evolving marketplace; the organization also advocates for   policies that promote business growth and ensure the responsible   stewardship of natural resources, especially in the areas of water   conservation and environmental management; and          WHEREAS, The Texas Nursery & Landscape Association has   demonstrated a steadfast commitment to supporting the Texas green   industry and advancing the prosperity of the Lone Star State, and   its legislative day provides a fitting opportunity to honor the   organization and its members; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby recognize March 13, 2025, as Texas Nursery &   Landscape Association Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm   welcome to the visiting delegation.     Guillen     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
