      H.R. No. 492       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Edwin Hunter   Harris III of Friendswood were deeply saddened by his death on   January 22, 2025, at the age of 55; and          WHEREAS, The son of Gailya Harris and Ed Harris Jr., Hunter   Harris was born in Houston on December 26, 1969, and he grew up with   the companionship of three siblings, Holly, Chad, and Rodney;   following in his father's footsteps, he went on to attend Texas A&M   University, where he developed a deep appreciation for Aggie   culture and traditions; and          WHEREAS, In May of 1992, Mr. Harris began working in sales   for his family's outdoor maintenance and industrial equipment   dealership, the Lansdowne-Moody Company; a decade later, he was   promoted to general manager, a role previously held by both his   father and grandfather; over the years, his passion for helping   others and his strong work ethic earned the respect and   appreciation of colleagues and customers alike; and          WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Harris benefited from   the love and support of his wife, Kerry, and he was a devoted father   to his children, Garrett, Drew, Hallie, and Torrie; a man of deep   faith, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his values,   always acting with great kindness, integrity, and grace; in his   leisure hours, he enjoyed hunting with family and friends and   enjoying other outdoor activities; and          WHEREAS, Hunter Harris lived a rich and purposeful life   centered around his family and his faith, and he will long be   remembered with deep affection by all who knew him; now, therefore,   be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Edwin Hunter   Harris III and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his   family: to his wife, Kerry Harris; to his children, Garrett, Drew,   Hallie, and Torrie; to his siblings, Holly, Chad, and Rodney; and to   his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of   Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hunter   Harris.     Dyson     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
