HR473 - Granting permission for the body of the Honorable Sylvester Turner to lie in honor in the Hall of the House of Representatives on March 13 and 14, 2025.

      H.R. No. 473       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The House has learned with sadness of the death of   the Honorable Sylvester Turner, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at   the age of 70; and          WHEREAS, Mr. Turner represented Texas House District 139 in   Harris County from January 10, 1989, to January 1, 2016, and he   served as Speaker Pro Tempore during the 78th, 79th, and 80th   Legislatures; he went on to serve as the 62nd mayor of Houston from   2016 to 2024, and he was elected to the United States House of   Representatives in 2024; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby grant permission for the body of the Honorable   Sylvester Turner to lie in honor in the Hall of the House of   Representatives on Thursday, March 13, 2025, and Friday, March 14,   2025, under the direction and supervision of the Committee on House   Administration.     Thompson     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
