      H.R. No. 347       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Representatives of United Ways of Texas and OneStar   are visiting Austin on February 26, 2025, for Texas Nonprofit   Strong and United Way Day at the State Capitol; and          WHEREAS, United Ways of Texas and OneStar have partnered to   form the Texas Nonprofit Strong initiative, which supports the   state's nonprofit sector through public outreach, education, and   advocacy; together, the organizations elevate the impact of   nonprofits, which make a positive difference in local communities,   add value to the state's economy, and contribute to civil society;   and          WHEREAS, There are more than 130,000 nonprofits across the   state, and approximately 1 in 20 Texas workers is directly employed   by a nonprofit; these organizations also serve as critical partners   to businesses and government agencies, and they help to deliver   services and innovative solutions that foster thriving   communities; and          WHEREAS, The nonprofit sector in Texas plays an instrumental   role in making the state an ideal place to live and work, and United   Ways of Texas and OneStar are indeed worthy of recognition for their   efforts to empower these outstanding organizations; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby recognize February 26, 2025, as Texas Nonprofit   Strong and United Way Day at the State Capitol and extend to the   visiting delegation sincere best wishes for a meaningful and   memorable trip to Austin; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared   for United Ways of Texas and OneStar as an expression of high regard   by the Texas House of Representatives.     Anchía     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
