HR280 - Honoring Kathleen Martinez of Dallas for her work as an immigration attorney.

      H.R. No. 280       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Our communities draw immeasurable strength from   individuals such as Kathleen Martinez of Dallas, who has   distinguished herself in the course of her exemplary career in   immigration law; and          WHEREAS, Mrs. Martinez is the founder and managing attorney   of Martinez Immigration Global Law Firm, which has a primary office   in Allen; under her able leadership, the firm has helped numerous   immigrants gain legal status and reunite with their families; in   addition, she works to raise awareness about issues impacting   immigrants on social media platforms such as TikTok, where she has   amassed more than two million followers; and          WHEREAS, Mrs. Martinez has been involved in the Dallas Bar   Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association;   among her many accomplishments, she was recognized as an Elite   Lawyer in 2023, and that same year, she was named the Best   Immigration Lawyer in Plano by Quality Business Awards; in 2024,   she received recognition from Top Lawyers USA; she holds a   bachelor's degree from Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles   and a juris doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San   Diego; and          WHEREAS, Kathleen Martinez has demonstrated a steadfast   commitment to advocating for justice, serving the underserved, and   promoting equal opportunities for all, and in so doing, she has set   an inspiring example of professional excellence; now, therefore, be   it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby commend Kathleen Martinez for her work as an   immigration attorney and extend to her sincere best wishes for   continued success; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for Mrs. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Morales of Harris     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
