      H.R. No. 220       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Members of the Cuero Chamber of Commerce are   visiting the State Capitol on February 11, 2025; and          WHEREAS, A dynamic association of nearly 300 members, the   Cuero Chamber is committed to fostering economic growth and   maintaining an outstanding quality of life in the community; the   organization advocates for the interests of area businesses and   serves as a resource for training, networking, and educational   opportunities; and          WHEREAS, The chamber also collaborates with the City of Cuero   and the Cuero Development Corporation to support economic   expansion, community development, and tourism initiatives; this   partnership ensures that Cuero maintains its status as an   attractive destination for businesses, residents, and visitors   alike; and          WHEREAS, Cuero is known as the Turkey Capital of the World and   hosts such popular annual events as Turkeyfest and the Great   Gobbler Gallop; moreover, DeWitt County has earned the title of   Wildflower Capital of Texas, and each spring, nature enthusiasts   enjoy the region's beautiful landscapes; and          WHEREAS, The community has long been a center for agriculture   and ranching, with generations of farmers and ranchers contributing   to the area's economy; in addition, because the town is situated in   the Eagle Ford Shale region, it has played an important role in the   state's oil and gas industry; and          WHEREAS, The Cuero Chamber of Commerce has remained steadfast   in its mission to promote economic vitality by establishing strong   connections throughout the community, and all those associated with   the organization are deserving of recognition for their dedicated   efforts; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby recognize February 11, 2025, as Cuero Chamber   Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting   delegation; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the   Texas House of Representatives.     Louderback     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
