      H.R. No. 201       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Great Beginnings Early Childhood Center at St. Paul   Lutheran Church in Harlingen has received Texas Rising Star   certification from the Texas Workforce Commission; and          WHEREAS, The Texas Rising Star initiative is a quality rating   and improvement system for child care programs participating in   TWC's Child Care Services program; certification is available to   child care centers throughout the state that demonstrate a   consistent and high level of compliance with Child Care Regulation   minimum standards; and          WHEREAS, Great Beginnings is a faith-based organization that   serves children between the ages of six weeks and three years; ably   led by director Carla Wisdom, the program includes chapel services,   meals, and instructional activities; moreover, the center utilizes   Frog Street Curriculum, which is comprehensive and research-based   and aligns with state and federal standards; and          WHEREAS, Great Beginnings plays a vital role in providing   young Texans with a strong foundation on which to build, and this   well-deserved designation is a testament to the skill and   dedication of its administrators and staff; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature hereby congratulate Great Beginnings Early Childhood   Center on receiving Texas Rising Star certification from the Texas   Workforce Commission and extend to all those associated with the   program sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it   further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Guerra     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
