Mr. MCGOVERN submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the
Committee on Rules
RESOLUTION
Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 626) to advance
commonsense policy priorities.
Resolved, That immediately upon adoption of this res-

olution, the House shall proceed to the consideration in
2
the House of the bill (H.R. 626) to advance commonsense
3
policy priorities. All points of order against consideration
4
of the bill are waived. An amendment in the nature of
5
a substitute received for printing in the portion of the
6
Congressional Record designated for that purpose in
7
clause 8 of rule XVIII dated at least one day before the
8
day of consideration of H.R. 626, if submitted by the
9
ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and

Means, shall be considered as adopted. If more than one

such amendment is submitted, then only the last amend-
2
ment submitted shall be considered as adopted. The bill,
3
as amended, shall be considered as read. All points of
4
order against provisions in the bill, as amended, are
5
waived. The previous question shall be considered as or-
6
dered on the bill, as amended, and on any further amend-
7
ment thereto, to final passage without intervening motion
8
except: (1) one hour of debate equally divided and con-
9
trolled by the chair and ranking minority member of the
10
Committee on Ways and Means or their respective des-
11
ignees; and (2) one motion to recommit.
12
SEC. 2. Clause 1(c) of rule XIX shall not apply to
13
the consideration of H.R. 626.
