A BILL
To prohibit the Transportation Security Administration from
using the ‘‘X’’ gender designation in the TSA PreCheck
advanced security program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Traditional Screening
4
Application Act’’ or the ‘‘TSA Act’’.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION.

(a) IN GENERAL.—The Administrator of the Trans-
7
portation Security Administration may not use the ‘‘X’’
8
gender designation in the TSA PreCheck advanced secu-

(b) DEFINITION.—The terms ‘‘male’’ and ‘‘female’’
4
mean the biological classification of male and female sex
5
in the context of reproductive potential or capacity, as in-
6
dicated by sex chromosomes, naturally occurring sex hor-
7
mones, gonads, and nonambiguous internal and external
8
genitalia present at birth.
