To provide that under the securities laws certain disclosures
related to scope 3 greenhouse-gas emissions may not
be required.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Scope 3 Act’’.

SEC. 2. SCOPE 3 GREENHOUSE-GAS EMISSIONS DISCLO-

SURES.

Under the securities laws (as such term is defined

in section 3(a)(47) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934
