A BILL
To amend the Federal Trade Commission Act to make hos-
pital organizations and cooperative hospital service orga-
nizations subject to the law relating to unfair methods
of competition.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Stop Anticompetitive
4
Healthcare Act of 2023’’.

SEC. 2. AMENDMENT.

The 2d undesignated paragraph of section 4 of the
2
Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 44) is amended
3
by inserting before the period at the end the following:
4
‘‘ , and includes with respect to unfair methods of competi-
5
tion, any hospital organization or cooperative hospital
6
service organization that is described in section 501(c)(3)
7
of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and exempt from
8
taxation under section 501(a) of such Code’’.
