bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Labor
A BILL
To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 by updating
the definition of untaxed income and benefits.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Honor Our Nation’s
4
Oath to Remember Our Veterans’ Sacrifice Act’’ or the
5
‘‘HONOR Our Veterans’ Sacrifice Act’’.

SEC. 2. DEFINITION OF UNTAXED INCOME AND BENEFITS.

Section 480(b) of the Higher Education Act of 1965
8
(20 U.S.C. 1087vv(b)) is amended—

(1) in paragraph (1)—

‘‘(G) veterans’ benefits such as disability,

death pension, dependency, or indemnity com-

pensation, or veterans’ education benefits (as

defined in subsection (c)).’’.
