To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to permit
the use of benefits to purchase diapering supplies for
small children.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘SNAP for Infant Care
4
Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS.

Section 3 of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7
7
U.S.C. 2012) is amended—

(1) by inserting after subsection (g) the fol-

lowing:

‘‘(g–1) DIAPERING SUPPLIES.—The term ‘diapering
3
supplies’ includes diapers, diaper wipes, diaper cream, and
4
related items necessary for safe diapering.’’, and
5
(2) in subsection (k) by inserting ‘‘diapering
6
supplies for a child not more that 3 years of age,’’
7
after ‘‘of this subsection,’’.

SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
9
This Act, and the amendments made by this Act,
10
shall take effect on the 1st day of the 1st month that be-
11
gins not less than 180 days after the date of the enact-
12
ment of this Act.
