A BILL
To require the Secretary of the Treasury to establish a
Restaurant Reimbursement Program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘America Dines Out
4
Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. RESTAURANT REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM.

(a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary of the Treasury
7
shall establish a Restaurant Reimbursement Program to
8
make payments to restaurants in accordance with this sec-

tion for portions of a bill on which the restaurant provided
1
a discount to a customer.

(b) LIMITATIONS.—Payments may only be made
3
under this section—
4
(1) for 50 percent of the discount provided to
5
a customer on food and non-alcoholic beverages, but
6
in an amount not to exceed $12 per customer per
7
day;
8
(2) for discounts provided to customers on a
9
Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday during the 1-
10
month period beginning two weeks after the date of
11
enactment of this Act; and
12
(3) for discounts provided to customers who
13
were dining at the physical location of the res-
14
taurant.

(c) APPLICATION.—A restaurant that seeks to receive
16
a payment under this section shall submit an application
17
to the Secretary of the Treasury in such form and manner,
18
and containing such information, as the Secretary deter-
19
mines appropriate.

(d) APPROPRIATION.—There is appropriated, out of
21
amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to
22
the Secretary of the Treasury $3,400,000,000 to carry out
23
this section.
