REENROLLMENT AND ESTABLISHMENT BY RETIREE 1 BENEFICIARIES OF MONTHLY ENROLLMENT 2 FEE PAYMENT FOR TRICARE SELECT AT ANY 3 TIME DURING 2021. 4 (a) IN GENERAL.—A covered beneficiary described in 5 subsection (b) may, at any time during 2021, reenroll in 6 TRICARE Select. 7 (b) COVERED BENEFICIARIES.—A covered bene- 8 ficiary described in this subsection is any covered bene- 9 ficiary in the retired category who— 10 (1) is enrolled in TRICARE Select as of De- 11 cember 31, 2020; but 12 (2) does not establish monthly enrollment fee 13 payment for TRICARE Select during 2021 during 14 the 2020 TRICARE Open Season. 15 (c) REQUIREMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH RE- 16 ENROLLMENT.— 17 (1) IN GENERAL.—A covered beneficiary who 18 reenrolls in TRICARE Select pursuant to subsection 19 (a) shall, at the time of reenrollment— 20 (A) pay a portion of the annual enrollment 21 fee for TRICARE Select for 2021 equal to— 22 (i) the monthly enrollment fee pay- 23 ment for TRICARE Select during 2021 24 applicable to the covered beneficiary; multi- 25 plied by 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 03:26 Oct 17, 2020 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\S4746.IS S4746 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •S 4746 IS (ii) the number of months in 2021 1 that have elapsed as of the date of re- 2 enrollment; and 3 (B) establish month enrollment fee pay- 4 ment for TRICARE Select during 2021 for the 5 remaining months of 2021. 6 (2) PARTIAL MONTH.—For purposes of para- 7 graph (1)(A)(ii), the month in which a covered bene- 8 ficiary reenrolls in TRICARE Select shall be treated 9 as a full month. 10 (d) DEFINITIONS.—In this section: 11 (1) The term ‘‘covered beneficiary in the retired 12 category’’ means any covered beneficiary enrolled in 13 TRICARE Select in the retired category under sec- 14 tion 1075(b)(1)(B) of title 10, United States Code. 15 (2) The term ‘‘TRICARE Select’’ means the 16 option under the TRICARE program established 17 pursuant to section 1075 of title 10, United States 18 Code. 19 (3) The term ‘‘2020 TRICARE Open Season’’ 20 means the period in 2020 for enrollment in and elec- 21 tion of options regarding participation in the 22 TRICARE program during 2021, namely the period 23 beginning November 9, 2020, and ending December 24 14, 2020. 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 03:26 Oct 17, 2020 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\S4746.IS S4746 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 4 •S 4746 IS (4) The terms ‘‘covered beneficiary’’ and 1 ‘‘TRICARE program’’ have the meaning given such 2 terms in section 1072 of title 10, United States 3 Code. 4 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 03:26 Oct 17, 2020 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00004 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\S4746.IS S4746 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS
