Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. PLACEMENT OF STATUE OF RUTH BADER GINS- 3 BURG IN NATIONAL STATUARY HALL. 4 (a) OBTAINING STATUE.—Not later than 2 years 5 after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Joint Com- 6 mittee on the Library shall enter into an agreement to 7 obtain a statue or bust of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, under 8 such terms and conditions as the Joint Committee con- 9 siders appropriate consistent with applicable law. 10 (b) PLACEMENT.—The Joint Committee shall place 11 the statue or bust obtained under subsection (a) in the 12 United States Capitol in a suitable permanent location in 13 National Statuary Hall. 14 (c) WAIVER OF WAITING PERIOD.—Section 2(a) of 15 Public Law 109–116 (2 U.S.C. 2131a(a)) does not apply 16 with respect to the statue or bust obtained and placed 17 under subsection (a). 18 VerDate Sep 11 2014 18:46 Oct 21, 2020 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H8402.IH H8402 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 8402 IH SEC. 2.
