To amend the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Histor-
ical Park Establishment Act of 2000 to provide for additional areas
to be added to the park, and for other purposes.

which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Nat-

A BILL
To amend the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front
National Historical Park Establishment Act of 2000 to
provide for additional areas to be added to the park,
and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

The Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front Na-
6
tional Historical Park Establishment Act of 2000 (16

U.S.C. 410ggg, et seq.) is amended as follows:

(1) In section 2(b), by adding at the end the
1
following: ‘‘Not later than 180 days after areas are
2
added to the park administratively or by Federal
3
law, the Secretary shall update the map to include
4
the added areas.’’.

(2) By adding at the end of section 2, the fol-
6
lowing:
7
‘‘(c) ADDITIONAL AREAS INCLUDED.—In addition to
8
areas included under subsection (b), the park shall include
9
the following:
10
‘‘(1) The Nystrom Elementary School–The
11
Maritime Building, as listed on the National Reg-
12
ister of Historic Places.
13
‘‘(2) Such other areas as the Secretary deems
14
appropriate.’’.

(3) By amending section 3(e)(2) to read as fol-
16
lows:

‘‘(2) OTHER
PROPERTY.—Within the bound-
18
aries of the park, the Secretary may acquire lands,
19
improvements, waters, or interests therein, by dona-
20
tion, purchase, exchange or transfer. Any lands, or
21
interests therein, owned by the State of California or
22
any political subdivision thereof, may be acquired
23
only by donation. When any tract of land is only
24
partly within such boundaries, the Secretary may ac-

quire all or any portion of the land outside of such
1
boundaries in order to minimize the payment of sev-
2
erance costs. Land so acquired outside of the bound-
3
aries may be exchanged by the Secretary for non-
4
Federal lands within the boundaries. Any portion of
5
land acquired outside the boundaries and not used
6
for exchange shall be reported to the General Serv-
7
ices Administration for disposal for not less than
8
fair market value under chapter 1 of title 40, United
9
States Code.’’.
