mittee on House Administration
A BILL
To prohibit the removal of a statue provided by a State
for display in National Statuary Hall unless two-thirds
of the members of the State’s congressional delegation
approve the removal, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Statuary Hall
4
Collection Policy Act’’.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITING REMOVAL OF STATUES PROVIDED BY

STATES FOR DISPLAY IN NATIONAL STAT-
2
UARY HALL WITHOUT APPROVAL OF CON-
3
GRESSIONAL DELEGATION OF STATE.

Section 311(a)(2) of the Legislative Branch Appro-
5
priations Act, 2001 (2 U.S.C. 2132(a)(2)) is amended—
6
(1) by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end of subpara-
7
graph (A);
8
(2) by striking the period at the end of sub-
9
paragraph (B) and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and
10
(3) by adding at the end the following new sub-
11
paragraph:

‘‘(C) the request has been approved by not
13
fewer than 2⁄3 of the Members of the House of
14
Representatives and Senators who represent the
15
State.’’.
