SECTION 1. ELIGIBILITY OF CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE

RESERVE
COMPONENTS
OF
THE
ARMED
2
FORCES FOR HOME LOANS FROM THE SEC-
3
RETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS.

(a) EXTENSION OF ELIGIBILITY.—Section 3701(b)
5
of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at
6
the end the following new paragraph:
7
‘‘(7) The term ‘veteran’ also includes, for pur-
8
poses of home loans, an individual who performed
9
active service (as that term is defined in section 101
10
of title 10) for a period—
11
‘‘(A) of not less than 90 cumulative days;
12
and
13
‘‘(B) that includes 30 consecutive days.’’.
14
(b) CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—Section 3702(a)(2)
15
of such title is amended by adding at the end the following
16
new subparagraph:
17
‘‘(G) Each individual described in section
18
3701(b)(7) of this title.’’.
